About me

Hello! I'm Kayla Saunders, a photographer, and a marketing and social strategist based in Southern California.

​

My photography journey started six years ago, inspired by documenting my travels. As an outdoors enthusiast, I find joy in capturing the beauty of my journey as I strive to visit all U.S. National Parks.

​

Through photography, I discovered my passion for marketing and social media work. Over the past three years, I've been dedicated to aiding businesses in crafting and maintaining a distinctive brand identity.

​

As a photographer and marketing strategist, my objective is to curate content that narrates genuine moments and conveys the authenticity through my lens.

June 2022 - Present

Senior Program Specialist 

  • City of Anaheim

    • Supervision of a team of 20 staff members, overseeing the execution of seasonal programming and curriculum implementation.

    • Development of marketing materials including billboards, flyers, and informational guides.

    • Filming and editing of educational videos for outreach events.

    • Producing Instagram content and overseeing an account that accumulated over 1,000 followers in the past year.

June 2023 - Present

Media Manager

  • NOC Athletics Club

    • Produce photo and video content for Instagram and Facebook.

    • Create post schedules and collaborate with a marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all social media platforms.

August 2023 - December 2023

Team Lead

  • Newport Beach Film Festival

    • Oversaw a team entrusted with the marketing and coordination of a film premiere.

    • Scouted partners and sponsors to support the event.

    • Planned and coordinated event and afterparty for 200+ guests.

January 2023 - May 2023

Marketing Strategist

  • Fullerton Arboretum

    • Developed a comprehensive brand kit and marketing material that included flyers, social media content, and advertisements displayed on five billboards.

    • Generated live social media content and captured photographs during the event.
